Job Summary
The licensed Esthetician is responsible for delivering exceptional skincare and wellness services to members and guests while creating a relaxing, luxury spa experience. This role provides customized facial treatments, skincare consultations, professional product recommendations, and maintains the highest standards of hospitality, sanitation, and safety.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Manager Spa or Sports Club Director
Day to Day
- Deliver personalized facial/skincare treatments tailored to each member’s individual needs and goals.
- Conduct skin analyses and recommend customized treatment plans and home skincare routines.
- Educate members/guests on skincare products, wellness practices, and treatment recommendations.
- Build lasting relationships through exceptional service, follow-up, and hospitality.
- Maintain accurate and confidential treatment records.
- Perform facial services including customized facials, anti-aging treatments, hydrating treatments, acne treatments, dermaplaning (where permitted), chemical peels (within scope of license), microdermabrasion, LED therapy, facial massage, waxing, brow/lash tinting, scalp treatments, and other approved enhancements.
- Recommend retail skincare products and promote seasonal services, packages, and club wellness offerings.
- Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized, and sanitized condition in accordance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with spa, fitness, racquet, and food & beverage teams to enhance the overall member wellness experience.
- Communicate effectively with the spa reception team to manage appointments and ensure seamless member service.
Additional Duties
- Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
- Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.
- Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.
- Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
- Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success.
About You
Required
- Current State Esthetician License.
Preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a private club or luxury hospitality environment.
- Certifications in advanced skincare modalities.
- Experience with LED therapy, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and advanced facial technologies.
- Retail sales experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, chemicals or gases.
- Skincare services for extended periods.
- Squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending.
- Talking, hearing, and seeing.
Primary Tools/Equipment
- Professional esthetician treatment bed and facial equipment.
- Steamers, magnifying lamps, and microdermabrasion devices.
- LED light therapy equipment.
- Professional skincare products and treatment supplies.
- Waxing supplies, brow/lash tinting products, and sanitation equipment.
Work Schedule
- Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines.
- Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required.
