Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides superior, first-class customer service to members & guests.
- Establishes merchandising plans based on Invited standards, implements action steps and adjusts plan based on progress towards goals.
- Maintains effective stock levels and ensures stock presentations are appropriate for all seasons.
- Sells and maintains golf shop merchandise.
- Assist with daily golf shop operations. Duties include making tee time reservations, opening & closing the golf shop. May require driving golf carts at times.
- Places special orders upon request.
- Ensures follow-up on past due orders and that canceled orders are communicated timely.
- Receives merchandise, prices merchandise according to Invited guidelines, enters into POS system, and monitors inventory levels.
- Presents merchandise in attractive displays and rotates merchandise keeping a fresh look to golf shop.
- Creates weekly displays showcasing new and unique products.
- Assists with merchandising fitness floor retail & collaborates with Fitness Club Manager and Tennis Director on retails buys.
- Submits invoices in a timely manner through accounting software. Works closely with the accounting office on accounts receivable and accounts payable issues. Ensures available discounts and credits are utilized.
- Performs monthly inventory counts to ensure proper inventory control.
- Ensures stockrooms are kept organized so that items are easy to locate.
- Ensures replacement and return policies are adhered to.
- Works closely with other department heads to coordinate and order staff uniforms.
- Regular and reliable attendance.

Education/Experience:
- Six months related experience and/or training in retail management/buying experience; or equivalent combination and experience preferred.
Critical Skills:
- Knowledge of golf and golf market preferred.
- Able to work effectively with and present information to other department heads, staff and vendors.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of guests' buying trends and retail markets.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Strong computer skills, to include the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Highly motivated to achieve goals, excellent organizational skills and strong computer skills.
- Outstanding and creative visual merchandising skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication skills.
- Schedule flexibility with increased hours seasonally to accommodate seasonal changes in the hours of operation.
- Valid Driver License
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stands, walks, reaches with hands and arms, talks or hears.
- Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches.
- Frequently uses hands.
- Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Schedule must be flexible to include weekends and holidays.
Compensation:
- Range of $17-$20 per hour depending on experience. Monthly/Annual Commissions negotiable.
